Indonesia’s leading ISP, CBN and Zscaler partner to deliver “clean-pipes” to enterprises, SMBs and consumers

Jakarta, Indonesia, April, 15, 2010

San Francisco, California, April, 15, 2010

CBN, Indonesia’s leading ISP and Zscaler Inc., the market leader in cloud-delivered, multi-tenant Security as a Service, today announced that CBN has chosen to partner with Zscaler to offer web security as a service to Enterprise, Small & Medium Business, and Retail customers. This service will protect CBN’s customers from malicious content and threats arising from internet usage.

“With growing adoption of Web 2.0, our customers are using the majority of their internet bandwidth to go to the web. Unfortunately, most of the threats and malicious content today that our customers are exposed to also come from web access.  Zscaler’s industry leading advanced security technologies are best suited to provide a safe computing environment for our customers”, said Sugiharto Darmakusuma, CBN Chief Commercial Officer.

Zscaler’s service scales to hundreds of thousands of users. Using a global cloud infrastructure, Zscaler protects users irrespective of where they work from, transparently enforcing security and policies while providing real-time reporting. With no hardware or software to install, Zscaler’s cloud-based solution makes it operationally simple for CBN to roll out security services to customers.

“We are delighted that CBN has chosen Zscaler – this is a significant partnership” said Joy Ghosh, Managing Director, Zscaler, Asia Pacific. “We now see maximum damage arising out of attacks that are launched by compromising legitimate websites, search engine optimization, exploiting browser vulnerabilities and by persistent threats that work in stealth mode. Most recent high profile attacks have used at least one of these techniques to propagate. Our advanced security technologies prevent these type of threats from reaching end user machines.”

The service will be offered immediately to all users of CBN on a subscription basis.
